The designer Olivia Bradateanu took design of shelving to new levels with this new design called “Shelf in the Wind”. This design came from the idea : “What if a simple shelf moved with the breeze that enters the front door?” Poetry in design is explored by studying the transformative properties of the wind and applying them to a common piece of furniture that typically does not communicate above a functional level. The result is a whimsical hardwood shelf that appears to be blowing away or transforming into something else, depending on the viewer’s interpretation.

German designer Axel Schaefer has come up with this modern a-symmetrical high pressure laminate table that comes integrated with a bio-ethanol burning fireplace. Called “FIRE,” the coffee table touts an asymmetric and clear body finished in HPL (high pressure laminate) that not only makes the table look glossy but also ensures durability. This piece of furniture merges a fireplace and a coffee table into a single piece that is a great idea especially when you want to warm your place in cold winters. The FIRE coffee table is available in three different finishes, ebony high gloss for €3,890 ($5,571), colored for €3,000 ($4,296) and natural stone for €6,900 ($9,882), so you may pick one to meet your liking or the interior of your living space.
